THIS COLLECTION IS BORN FROM THE MEETING BETWEEN MONDELLIANI AND DESIGN SHOWER, TWO REALITIES UNITED BY AESTHETIC RESEARCH, ATTENTION TO DETAIL, AND A PASSION FOR CRAFTSMANSHIP.
SPRINKLES takes shape through a dialogue between the distinctive design of Mondelliani and the Korean manufacturing of Design Shower, transforming small acetate elements applied by hand into a unique graphic sign. Inspired by the colorful sprinkles that decorate sweets for special occasions, the collection celebrates color as a universal language, creating an ideal bridge between Rome and Seoul, between tradition, creativity, and contemporary character.
Each pair of glasses is different from the others, not for virtuosity, but because it cannot be otherwise. The project took almost a year and a half of work — from the first idea to the finished collection. The time needed to translate a simple concept into an object that truly works. The design is by Mondelliani.
The realization is by Design Shower, a Korean studio that works with acetate entirely by hand. The color palette comes from the Mondelliani archive — cream, purple, yellow, green, red, tortoise — initially applied in six combinations, but thanks to the created system, it can give rise to infinite combinations.
Ogni occhiale è diverso dall'altro, davvero, non per virtuosismo, ma perché non può essere altrimenti. Il progetto ha richiesto oltre un anno e mezzo di lavoro — dalla prima idea alla collezione finita.
Abbiamo lavorato insieme per tradurre un concetto semplice in un oggetto che funzioni davvero; un codice di piccoli elementi in acetato, tagliati a mano, che traducono la manifattura caratterizzante di Design Shower in un codice progettuale aperto a innumerevoli combinazioni formali e cromatiche.

La palette dei colori viene dall'archivio Mondelliani — crema, viola, giallo, verde, rosso, tortoise — applicata inizialmente in sei combinazioni, ma che grazie al sistema creato può dar vita a infinite combinazioni.
Sprinkles non è una collezione destinata a essere replicata in serie, ma una serie limitata di occhiali realizzati attraverso un codice estetico irripetibile, per costruire forme e colori ogni volta unici, davvero.
