ABOUT THE ARTIST

Park Seo-Bo (1931–2023) was one of the key figures of the Dansaekhwa movement, which revolutionized contemporary Korean art in the 1970s.

His famous series Écriture embodies the philosophy of “emptying the self” through repeated and meditative gestures. In his more recent works, the use of Hanji paper and nature-inspired colors has introduced a message of harmony and healing.

In 2021, he was awarded the Order of Cultural Merit of the Republic of Korea for his impact on the history of global art.

Learn more about the artist and his legacy in the exclusive interview with Park Ji-Fan, the artist's grandson and director of the PARKSEOBO Foundation.

LIMITED ARTIST EDITION

The collaboration with MYKITA was the last project that Park Seo-Bo personally worked on, approaching it with his usual care and passion.

For this special edition, he chose a round frame with an essential design, characterized by an elegantly curved nose bridge. The minimalist shape becomes the ideal base to accommodate custom-made shades, in perfect harmony with the vibrant Écriture of the artist.

Each model is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity and exclusive packaging made from traditional Korean hanji paper. The signed case also includes a limited edition cloth, decorated with the artwork that inspired the color palette.
